Grand Opening Exhibition in Westchester 2021
New Apostle Gallery is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new Westchester location. The inaugural exhibition will be open to the public on the weekend of May 15th/16th and then by appointment until Sunday, May 23. The gallery is located at 35 Grove St, Mount Vernon, NY 10550.
The gallery, originally founded by artist David Hollier in Bushwick, Brooklyn moved to the new Westchester premises in 2019. The gallery has exhibited in several art fairs in New York and Miami and had two Brooklyn-based pop-up shows.
The May exhibition will be the first time the gallery opens its doors to the Westchester community. This Inaugural exhibition will feature artwork by a curated selection of the gallery’s represented artists in addition to several well-established, New York-based artists. The exhibition will also see us introducing the work of Gail Nathan.
“It’s certainly not your typical Westchester storefront gallery...” says founder David Hollier, “... think more Chelsea or Bushwick warehouse gallery. We’ve tried to create a clean white box, but it still definitely has a working factory feel to it.” Hollier continues, “We’ve been doing art fairs for the past ten years. I feel we’ve developed a good understanding of the commercial aspects of the contemporary art world and I now work alongside other artists who share my desire to introduce new audiences to contemporary art at prices that make sense.”
With a must-see program of events and exhibitions, in both NYC and Westchester, the gallery hopes to bridge the gap between the city’s rich art scene and Westchester’s fast-growing audience, nurturing an artistic community that offers an alternative to the city’s often saturated and over-priced offerings.
Hollier concludes, “Our main focus is to bring high quality, engaging contemporary artwork to Westchester’s growing young dynamic audience at affordable and competitive prices.”

Art Thyme | New York 2020
DECEMBER 1ST-6TH 2020 | BERRY ST
Art Thyme in conjunction with Scope Immersive 2020 in Williamsburg, New York
Usually we'd be heading to Miami for the fairs, but as this is a special year, we've decided to do a Pop-Up exhibition in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are also doing Scope Immersive online show, but thought it would be good to have all the work available to see in person. It's a great 1000+ sqft space with a cool little backyard. We will be following all social distancing guidelines.
We are very excited to be presenting a collection of mainly brand new works, by David Hollier, Yves Scherer, Haley Hughes, Frank Hyder and Taha Clayton. We are introducing two new artists, Rosie Kanellis with her beautifully considered watercolors, and Eric Slayton with his minimalist furniture and sculptural works. We also have photographic work by Cav Manning and Marcia Wilson and Janka Marcin.
